Bexhill Heritage recognised officially as a ‘charitable company’

Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) have approved our application to be recognised as a charity for tax purposes, in line with the Finance Act of 2010.

This means that we can enjoy certain tax advantages including the opportunity to reclaim tax through the ‘Gift Aid’ scheme.

If you’ve paid a membership fee of £10, Bexhill Heritage will be able to recoup £2.50 in tax through this scheme. If you’re a 40% tax payer, don’t forget to declare your membership fee and any donations on your annual tax return. You’ll also then receive a little bit of tax relief.
